About
Tarah Paul (b. 2001, Philadelphia, PA) is a visual archivist, using photography to capture the lived experiences of people of the African diaspora. Within her practice, Tarah explores narratives of joy, resilience, authenticity and beauty.
Her interest in photography is rooted in an appreciation of the photograph as a medium for self-expression, community building and reflection. She blends her design background and textures of light—with a desire to explore themes of race, belonging and identity that have shaped her own life.
